Police are investigating after a woman said she was “shot at random” in Hermitage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Police are investigating after a woman says she was shot at random while driving in Hermitage.

The incident happened Saturday morning on Lebanon Pike near the Hermitage Inn.

Brittany Jacobs said she and her passengers heard a loud bang on the side of her vehicle. At first, he thought it was a rock, but when they stopped, they noticed it was a bullet hole.

She says she hit the rear driver’s side door, where a person in the back seat had their window down. Jacobs posted it on Facebook to warn others about the incident.

“I grew up in that area and never got in trouble, so it’s definitely going to be in the back of my mind going forward, which I never thought about before,” Jacobs said.

MNPD is investigating and going through surveillance video to try to find the culprit.
