WALDPORT Hours. (KPTV) – A man was shot and killed after police were called to his location for a disturbance involving a rifle, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said.

Around 7:45 p.m., Sunday, LCSO deputies responded to a disturbance involving a rifle near 1015 Southeast Rolph Court in Waldport.

A deputy was watching the scene when the suspect came out of his home with a gun. The suspect was “ultimately shot by the deputy,” LCSO said.

According to LCSO, the suspect’s gun was recovered from the scene.

Although an ambulance took the suspect to the hospital, they died on the way.
