PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A woman is facing multiple charges in Pike County, including drug trafficking and assaulting a police officer.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at the Pikeville Walmart. Police said Lori Fields, 64, of Pinsonfork, picked up items and left without paying.

Police said Fields resisted arrest outside the store and began fighting with officers.

After finding the items, police said they also found substances suspected to be heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia.

Lori Fields was charged with third-degree assault on a police officer, shoplifting, resisting arrest and menacing. She also faces three counts of drug trafficking.

She was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
