DECATUR, Ala. (Waffle) – A Decatur woman was arrested after she allegedly hit someone with her vehicle in a parking lot and fled the scene.

Decatur Police officials say officers responded to City Hall just after 8:30 a.m. on reports of a woman who had been struck by a vehicle in the parking lot.

The police made contact with the woman who had minor injuries.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the victim was involved in an argument in the parking lot with an acquaintance, identified as Ty’nisha Reed.

Reed allegedly hit the victim with her vehicle and left the scene.

Reed was located at a home in Decatur and arrested. She is accused of assault – second degree.

She was booked into the Morgan County Jail, where she is being held on $2,500 bond.
