When a charge is dropped, the Crown has up to a year to bring it back to court if new evidence comes to light.

Attorneys Brian Pfefferle and Mark Brayford served as co-counsel for Graae.

“Mr. Graae is grateful to the investigators and the Crown Prosecution Service reviewed this matter before proceeding with this prosecution. Mr. Graae cooperated fully with this investigation and provided conclusive evidence of his innocence. The RCMP and Crown Prosecution Service made the right decision. He is innocent and a prolonged trial would have been a waste of resources,” Pfefferle said paNOW.

At the time of the incident, RCMP also executed a search warrant at a residence in Waskesiu. Police found a small amount of cocaine and trafficking paraphernalia. Police also charged Graae with one count of trafficking.

The charge will be settled early when Graae returns to court in early December in Lake Montreal.
