SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Emergency crews responded to a serious crash in Springfield Friday night.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of East Division St. and North Benton Ave.

Police have closed several nearby streets and are telling people to avoid the area. At least one person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

East Division St. is blocked between North Benton Ave. and North Washington Ave.

Springfield Police, Springfield Fire and City Utilities crews are on scene.
