West Shore RCMP are investigating the theft of a flatbed truck from a shopping complex in View Royal.

The white 2014 Dodge 3500 was stolen around 1:45 a.m. Nov. 8 from the complex at 1492 Admirals Rd.

Surveillance video shows a dark-colored truck with a red roof pulling into the area, before someone gets out and walks toward the complex.

A short time later, the Dodge truck is driven away and the other truck follows.

The dark truck is described as having a box that is lighter in color than the rest of the vehicle.

The stolen truck is a four door model with BC license RL5548. It had a tidy red tank with a pump and RKM Crane Services decals on the driver and passenger doors which may have since been removed.

Police are asking anyone with information about the theft or who has surveillance video from the area from 1:30-2:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477).
