CRAVEN COUNTY, NC (WITN) – An East Carolina man is in jail after his arrest on child pornography charges.

Craven County deputies searched a home Thursday after receiving several tips through the SBI Internet Crimes Task Force AZgainst Children.

Joseph Smith was charged with six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and eight counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The 26-year-old New Bern man was jailed on $750,000 secured bond.
