STATEMENT: Temporary suspension of foreign exchange trading license | Banking/Finance

Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) acknowledges the Bank of Ghana’s notification of the temporary suspension of our foreign exchange trading license. We believe that the concerns raised in the notice can be quickly addressed and we are committed to working closely with the Bank of Ghana to ensure compliance.

We would like to assure our valued customers that this suspension does not impact the normal banking operations of CBG. With the exception of foreign exchange products and services, all our branches and digital platforms will continue to offer customers our full range of services. We fully expect to restore foreign exchange products after our engagement with the Bank of Ghana or upon expiry of the suspension period.

We apologize unreservedly for any inconvenience this situation may have caused and reaffirm our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational compliance in all aspects of our business.

We value all stakeholders and remain committed to providing a simple, secure and differentiated banking experience to our dear customers.
