November 14, 1924: Students at Illinois Wesleyan University he will bury himself in the books a bit harder this week and next week as mid term exams are underway from today. For the first time this year, the university will send students’ grades home mid-semester, so parents have the opportunity to see the caliber of work being done.

November 14, 1949: Headhunting is the occupation of free time of Mrs. Phil Bogardus of Clinton — headhunting bisque and china dolls, that is. November 14, 1999: Programs serving non-English speaking students in Bloomington-Normal grow and expand in scope. About 60 students in Bloomington District 87 receive instruction in English as a second language, roughly double the number five years ago. About 85 students in McLean County Unit 5 receive the services; most speak Spanish, but Japanese, Vietnamese and Indian languages ​​are also represented.
