Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo say their ‘bad’ looks are accidental

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo storm the red carpet with them River-inspired looks ahead of the musical’s release later this month.

However, if you thought all this coordination required meticulous calculation, think again.

In an interview with content creator @aichark, released on Nov. 7, Grande, 31, and Erivo, 37, revealed that many of their complementary ensembles, inspired by their characters Glinda and Elphaba, weren’t actually planned ahead of time – the stars are just that in sync. And they have been since “day one”.

“On our first day of rehearsal we were both wearing Balenciaga hoodies. Mine was pink and said ‘gay’ and hers was black and said ‘Balenciaga,’” Grande revealed.

Actresses — who have them too “For Good” tattoos. — went on to reveal that many of the outfits worn during their recent appearances together weren’t curated, including the time they both brought a bit of Oz to Oscars 2024 on March 10 and then at The 2024 Olympics on July 16.

“It was never really planned. Its not planned. We just come and it happens,” Erivo said.

Grande couldn’t help but call their timing “kismet.”
