MORRISON, Colo. — Morrison city officials released some details about an investigation Tuesday Police Chief Bill Vinelliwho was placed on administrative leave last week.

The investigation was confirmed by Nassau City Administrator Mallory Nassau, who provided a two-sentence press release.

“While the investigation is ongoing, the city will refrain from any further comment on this matter,” Morrison officials said in the statement.

Vinelli was placed on leave Nov. 4, and Morrison Police Department Cmdr. Jon Manna is the acting chief, Nassau said.

Former Morrison Police Chief Misty Siderfin resigned after three months on the job due to a lack of resources and officer vacancies. the Canyon Courier reported. Vinelli was hired in January 2022, Nassau said.
