PHOENIX — A Glendale woman was hospitalized after a car crashed into her Sunday night, authorities said.

The vehicle crashed into the home near 67th Avenue and Beardsley Road around 7:40 p.m., according to Glendale Police Department.

Several people were in the home at the time, and the woman was taken to the hospital with serious internal injuries.

Speed ​​and impairment are believed to be factors in the crash, but there was no immediate update on the driver of the vehicle, police said.

Roads in the area were closed for several hours due to the incident.
