Larry Kudlow: Only ‘Crazy’ Dems Would Be ‘Stupid’ Enough To Oppose Trump’s Deportation Plan

Only crazy Democrats would be stupid enough to oppose deporting President Trump planand that’s the subject of the riff.

Just before the election, Joe Biden’s acting ICE chief released a letter to Texas Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales saying the following: “More than 662,000 immigrants with criminal records have been apprehended and then released into the country,” but there are many more.

More than 15,000 of them were convicted criminals in their countries of origin. Wait, 16,000 have been convicted of sexual assault.

That’s not all: Other crimes included 100,000 assaults, 70,000 drug violations, 90,000 invasions of privacy and 16,000 weapons offenses. Tip at TIPP Insights for the numbers. Big tip for President Donald Trump for naming former ICE director Tom Homan as his new ‘border czar,’ who intends to make good Mr. Trump’s promised deportation planbut there are more.

Last year, ICE reported, as of September 30, 2023, there were 1,292,830 people in the U.S. illegally who had a full legal process and received a final order of deportation from an immigration judge, but are still here.

DEFICITS RISE TO PUSH PUBLIC DEBT TO 4-YEAR RECORD LEVEL

For last year, FY’24, estimates suggest the number rose to 1.6 million, and yet with all these extraordinary numbers of crime, sex and drug trafficking, including the fentanyl epidemic, including more than 300,000 missing children and assaults of criminal gangs on the police. Across the country, you have crazy Democrats in places like New York, California and Massachusetts saying they will not cooperate with President Trump and Mr. Homan.

These are crazy people. California Governor Gavin Newsom said he would make the state “Trump-proof.”

Likewise, New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey won’t let her police participate in Trump’s deportation plan, but if you read the New York Post, you’d know that uniformed officers and their unions are excited about Mr. Trump’s victory and his deportation plan.

I bet cops all over the country agree with the blue line in New York. In turn, Mr. Homan told various New York officials, “If you’re not going to help us, get the hell out of our way.” Take care, Tom Homan.

Federal law is on his side, by the way. The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 added section 287G to the Immigration and Nationality Act, authorizing ICE to work with state and local law enforcement to identify and remove incarcerated criminal citizens who undermine the safety of our nation’s community and the integrity of the Laws US on immigration.

In addition, under Section 212F of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the President of the United States has the authority to suspend the entry of certain non-citizens whom the President determines would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.

Despite howls from the usual liberal sources, Mr. Homan is likely to implement the deportation operation with common sense.

Earlier this week, he noted that his priority will be public safety and national security threats, as well as illegals who have had a fair trial. On “60 Minutes” last month, Mr. Homan said: “It’s not going to be a wholesale sweep of neighborhoods. It will not be the construction of concentration camps. I read everything. It’s ridiculous.”

the truth remains mr trump has repeatedly said he welcomes immigrants to the US as long as they are legal. The president said that foreigners who graduate from US colleges should get green cards. He also said he wants the US to be a magnet for the world’s smartest people.

Think a few million more Elon Musks legally entering our borders, and hopefully President Trump will be able to build on his first-term legal immigration reform ideas, ideas that have been blocked by a Democratic Congress , but when you think about the past four years and at least 10 million illegals crossing our borders — and perhaps the biggest crime and sex trafficking in our history — you know very well why something needs to be done.

Crazy Democrats who continue to oppose criminal deportations, or “Stay in Mexico” or finishing the wall, will lose by an even bigger margin in the next election. This is the riff.
