Odisha CGL Prelims exam was held on October 30 in OMR mode in all 30 districts of the state.

In the preliminary exam for graduate positions there were 150 questions, each worth 1 point. There was a negative mark on the exam. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 points will be deducted.

The duration of the preliminary examination was two and a half hours or 150 minutes.

Candidates were instructed to fill the OMR sheet using blue or black pen only. OMR slips missing candidate roll number and other information will not be evaluated.

In an earlier notification, the board stated that if a candidate is found to have engaged in malpractice or misconduct, his candidature for the examination will be canceled at any stage and he will be debarred from the board’s examinations for a period determined or definitive.

OSSC CGL 2024 exam is held for 586 vacancies in various departments of Odisha Govt.

Candidates who clear the preliminary exam will become eligible for the main exam.
