CLEVELAND, Ohio — Talk of Trump winning the election being partly due to the high price of eggs reminded me of the classic fried egg anti-drug ad campaign: “This is your brain on drugs.”

In the Partnership for a Drug-Free America’s 1987 ad, an egg is held up as the viewers’ brain. The pan is indicated as a drug. The egg is then cracked and fried in a pan…your brain on drugs.

Re-electing a 34-count murderer, sex offender, instigator of insurrection as President of the United States of America will not be “eggs over the top” for America’s domestic and foreign policy.

A vote for Trump in the face of high inflation was a vote for Trump’s tariffs, which will lead to higher prices everywhere, not just at the grocery store, if the tariffs are passed.

A vote for Trump was a vote for Putin who kills more Ukrainians before moving on to Poland and whatever else he wants. It was a vote to kill NATO, the alliance born of the defeat of Hitler, the Nazis and the fascists, for which three Republican four-star US generals said Trump expressed admiration.

The vote for Trump was a vote against Generals John Kelly, Mattis, Eisenhower, Patton, Bradley, US Grant and George Washington.

A vote for Trump was a vote to make the US Supreme Court far-right and more far-right, after giving Trump the criminal even more immunity for past and future corruption as commander-in-chief.

Trump’s winning ballots are his “get out of jail free” books, which is the main reason he even ran, not to make “America great again.” His pending charges for the January 6 insurrection and interference in Georgia’s election are expected to be dropped soon. He will serve no time for his 34 criminal fraud convictions in New York.

Trump’s resurgence clearly established him as the “Great Communicator,” not Ronald Reagan. And “The World’s Biggest Crook”.

HIGH INFLATION, LOW PRESENTATION:

High inflation and low voter turnout appear to be the two biggest factors in Trump’s victory.

The Biden coalition that won the 2020 presidential election over Trump did not run on the Harris-Walz ticket. The Associated Press reported Thursday that 13.2 million fewer ballots were cast for the Democratic ticket than in 2020. For Republicans and Trump, it was just 1.5 fewer ballots than in 2020.

Vice President Kamala Harris felt at the ballot box the price hike voters are feeling in grocery stores every week after Covid, despite the fact that the Biden-Harris administration established the strongest economy in the world. You see, my grocery bill goes up an average of $30 a week.

MISINFORMATION INFLATION:

Just as impactful as food inflation was misinformation inflation. U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, who launched Biden into the White House, said when he spoke to young black people opposed to Kamala Harris, he found they listened to and believed they had been misinformed by non-mainstream news sources .

Voters’ news sources have now fragmented far beyond the mainstream and even FoxFauxNews, leading to the re-election of a felon.

May the “dumb loser” of the 2024 election not be democracy versus authoritarianism. Fear can be.
