TNPSC Group 2 2024: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has increased the number of vacancies in combined civil service examination group 2 and 2 A, 2024. The commission has added 213 vacancies after which the total number has gone up to 2,540. Candidates can check official notification at tnpsc.gov.in.

Then TNPSC group 2 preliminary exam was held on 14th September 2024 in single shift – 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Candidates who qualify the test will become eligible to appear in the main examination.

The preliminary exam paper consisted of 200 questions. The maximum marks in the paper were 300 and the duration was 3 hours. Questions were asked from four subjects: General Studies, Aptitude, Mental Ability and Language (General Tamil or General English).

To pass the exam, candidates must score 90 points or more.

How to check TNPSC group 2 preliminary result when I announce

After the official announcement, candidates can check TNPSC group 2 result by following these steps-

1. Go to tnpsc.gov.in
2. Open the preliminary group 2 result displayed on the home page
3. Enter your details connection
4. Submit and check the result.

The preliminary exam is only for shortlisting candidates for the main round. The preliminary exam marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
