    Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James made his G League debut on Saturday night.

    James finished with six points as the South Bay Lakers defeated the Salt Lake City Stars by a final score of 110-96.

    He also recorded three rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. James missed all four of his three-point attempts and shot 2-5 from inside the arc.

    James started off strong, hitting a pull-up jumper that accounted for South Bay’s first points of the night.

    On South Bay’s first possession, Bronny James hits a pull-up jumper off a kick-out pass from Quincy Olivari for his first G League points.

    He showed his potential throughout the first half despite an inconsistent offensive performance as he connected on a floater off the dribble and lobbed to teammate Kylor Kelley.

    The 20-year-old’s debut in the South Bay drew a star-studded crowd that included Anthony Davis and the rest of the James family, as well as the Lakers’ GM. Rob Pelinka.

    Quincy Olivari, who signed a two-way contract with the Lakers on Oct. 19, he finished with a team-high 28 points on 8-19.

    With the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft in head coach JJ Redick’s rotation to a Los Angeles team with playoff aspirations, the Lakers assigned James to the G League on Thursday to give him more playing time.

    He is expected to play only in G League home games as he transitions between both teams, according to ESPN Shams Charania.

    South Bay’s next home game is November 17th against the Stockton Kings.
