The new recovery center will open in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A new substance abuse treatment center plans to open its doors in the Baton Rouge area.

Avenues Recovery Center opens newest residential addiction treatment facility. It is located at 2414 Bunker Hill Drive.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening event on Thursday, November 7, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Organizers said more state and community leaders, as well as recovery activists, are expected to attend.

According to officials, the 146-bed rehab center is designed to provide comprehensive and individualized care to those experiencing substance use disorders, providing a supportive and structured environment that fosters lasting recovery.
