ELECTION RESULTS: chairman | Missouri | Illinois | Amendment 2 | Amendment 3

Missouri heads to the polls on November 5, 2024, with races ranging from president to local initiatives on the ballot. The presidential contest features Vice President Kamala Harris (D), former President Donald Trump (R) and third-party candidates vying for the state’s 10 electoral votes. In key state races, Sen. Josh Hawley (R) faces Democrat Lucas Kunce, while Mike Kehoe (R) and Crystal Quade (D) are vying for governor.

Voters will decide on two notable constitutional amendments: one that addresses abortion rights and another that bans non-citizen voting and ranked-choice voting. Missouri’s abortion measure makes it one of ten states to put reproductive rights questions to voters in November 2024. Other races include seats in the U.S. House, state offices such as lieutenant governor and attorney general, and state legislative positions.

Local measures vary from state to state, and residents of St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Jefferson County see different items on the ballots.

Missouri, traditionally Democratic in urban areas and Republican in rural areas, has supported Republican presidential candidates in the last six elections. In 2020, Trump won the state with 57% to Biden’s 41%. Based on 2020 models, when about 28% of voters cast early ballots, the first results usually appear around 7:19 pm CT.
