Four thieves held in Gorakhpur electronics store 45 liter burglary case

Lucknow: Gorakhpur Police on Sunday arrested four suspects and detained a minor in connection with a high-profile person burglary at o electronics store. The burglary, which took place on October 21, involved the theft of Rs 45.4 lakh in cash and valuable gold and silver coins. The police recovered 36.61 lei, one gold coin, two silver coins, two motorcycles and five mobile phones from the accused.
The arrested suspects are Raj Kumar Singh aka Tinku, Sultan aka Raju, Adarsh ​​Mishra aka Salone and Ramraksha Yadav aka Teju Yadav. They were caught on the outskirts of town while trying to flee. The police also detained a minor associated with the gang. The gang has around 40 cases registered with Raj Kumar Singh having maximum 14 cases against him.
Police said Raj Kumar was the mastermind of the gang and had also carried out similar burglaries in Nepal and Bhutan. His criminal record will be checked in Nepal and other states in India.
The complaint was filed by the owner Khatu Sales Corporationa wholesale electronics store in Durgabari, who reported a theft involving cash and valuables.
Gorakhpur SSP Gaurav Grover said a ten-member police team scanned CCTV cameras for about a week. The accused were identified and later arrested on a tip-off. Grover said initial investigations revealed the juvenile suspect, a store employee, provided critical information about the store’s cash flow, which helped the gang plan the heist.
Additional DG, Gorakhpur Zone, KS Pratap, announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for the police team that solved the case.
