RHINELANDER, Wis. (WJFW) – Northwoods Health and Wellness held the Metaphysical Market Saturday at the Pines Event Center in Rhinelander to highlight businesses that take diverse approaches to physical and mental health.

“It’s my only goal in life,” coordinator Jessie Robinson said. “We started this business fifteen years ago with my mom and sister and we were really drawn to the people who attended the events because of the way they made us feel.”

Robinson says that thinking outside the box in her approach to physical health is what inspired her life’s work, and she recommends that others keep an open mind as well.

“For example, I give free hugs all the time and people should hug more because it feels really good,” Robinson said. “So we started doing events and it’s been a joy to see people walk through the door and see the connections people have with my suppliers.”

Robinson also said that asking questions about your approach to health can open up new possibilities.

“Be open to trying something new, something different. Do you want to keep taking prescriptions for the rest of your life? What if you could ease the aches and pains in your body by coming and having a healing session?”
