CLEVELAND, Ohio – Two people died Thursday in a crash on Interstate 71 in Medina County’s Westfield Township, officials said.

The accident happened at around 10.15pm when a Volvo commercial vehicle traveling south broke down in the right lane. A Chevrolet Trax traveling in the same direction hit the Volvo from behind, he said Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Volvo, Daved Brown, 68, of Cincinnati, and the driver of the Chevrolet, Mark McGraw, 73, of West Salem, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the patrol.

A third vehicle hit the Volvo and fled the scene, authorities said.

State troopers asked for help locating the third vehicle, which they described as a “brown commercial vehicle with heavy damage to the driver and passenger side.”

Authorities asked those with information about the third vehicle to call the Highway Patrol’s Medina Station at (330) 725-4921.
