BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Two people died after a motorcycle accident in Helena on Sunday.

According to Helena PD, there was a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on the 95 Freeway in the area of ​​Riva Ridge Road.

Authorities say the two motorcycle riders were pronounced dead at the scene.

After being closed for an extended period of time, authorities say the 95 Freeway is back open.

The Shelby County Traffic Homicide Task Force is investigating the crash.
