One person dead after moped crashes in Pulaski Co.

PULASKI CO, Ky. (WYMT) – One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash just after midnight Sunday.

Kentucky State Police London Post 11 said the crash happened at US 27 and East Frog Hollow Road in Pulaski County.

Officers said Kayleigh Dismuke, 19, of Eubank, KY, was driving a 2014 Jeep Wrangler north on US 27.

The Jeep allegedly hit a moped from behind. The driver of the moped was Dino Collins, 31, of Cincinnati, OH.

Collins was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital by Pulaski County EMS. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Dismuke was arrested and faces a number of charges.

Her charges are: vehicular homicide under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle under the influence in the first degree, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

Kentucky State Police are continuing their investigation.
