LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) – The LaGrange Police Department has launched an aggravated assault investigation after a victim suffered a gunshot wound.

According to LPD, on Friday, Oct. 25, just before midnight, officers responded to 201 Whitesville Road in reference to a person shot.

They said the victim reported he was walking home when an unknown person fired a gun with at least one bullet striking him – the victim was transported to an Atlanta area hospital for further treatment.
