Ahmed Shehzad Analyzes India’s Loss Against New Zealand: Kagaz ke sher ghar me dher

Former Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has been hit hard by India after losing the first series against New Zealand at home. Notably, New Zealand defeated India by 113 runs in the second Test at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

As a result, India’s unbeaten streak in home Tests since 2012 came to an end after winning 18 consecutive trotting series. After India’s loss, Shehzad said that New Zealand played a prank on India and beat them like children. Further, he called India Tigers on paper who collapsed in their home.

β€œNew Zealand came to India and thrashed them as if they had the right to do so, beating them like children and walking away. They played a prank on India. People are now saying: “Kagaz ke sher, aur ghar mein dher” (Tigers on paper, crash at home),” Shehzad said on his Youtube channel.

Speaking further, the former batsman said the team became complacent and played like schoolboys.

It looked like schoolboys playing: Ahmed Shehzad

“When India were bowled out for 46 runs (in the first Test), Rohit Sharma had said, ‘Everyone is having a bad day.’ And we accept that. But in this test match too, the way you have played cricket, you seem to have become complacent, Rohit Sharma says they don’t believe in unnecessary talk in the last two tests These two matches have been played in a way that makes it looks like schoolboys played,” added Shehzad.

Meanwhile, after back-to-back losses, India’s hopes of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) final. they also received a major blow. They will need to win four of their remaining six matches as they prepare to face New Zealand in the third Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from Friday, November 1 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Having already lost the series, the hosts will be desperate to turn things around and avoid a whitewash.
