The perfect San Francisco Giants target is heavily linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers

Worst result for San Francisco Giants this winter they would lose any of their top free agent targets to the favor Los Angeles Dodgers.

It’s more than fair to suggest that the Dodgers are on a different level than the Giants right now. In fact, it will take a lot for San Francisco to even be in the same discussion as Los Angeles.

They are the standard in Major League Baseball in terms of spending power, and if the Giants want to get to that point, they can only match what the Dodgers are doing.

Los Angeles has given other teams the blueprint to find success. While that hasn’t exactly led to them winning five straight World Series, the Dodgers are an above-average team every season.

But playing together in the National League West brings challenges to San Francisco.

If they lost any players to other teams, it wouldn’t hurt as bad. For now, they’re chasing Los Angeles and need to win every free agent battle on them.

That could be the case this winter if the Giants show interest in the shortstop Willy Adams.

Adames is the hottest middle infielder on the market and would be the perfect solution to San Francisco’s problems in the middle.

The two were linked but Jim Bowden by The Athletic he did not do so in his last article.

Bowden actually thinks the Dodgers are the best suitors for him.

“I expected Willy Adames to be traded to the Dodgers after Corey Seager left as a free agent in 2021, but it never happened because the Brewers remained a contender and never made him available. With Adames now arriving as a free agent, the Dodgers should be watched. President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman had Adames for several years when he was Rays general manager and has always been a big fan of the Dodgers infielder.”

He predicted his contract, which came in at six years and $150 million.

Los Angeles has shown repeatedly over the past decade that a $150 million contract is pocket change.

The Giants weren’t cheap, but they had trouble landing star players.

Adames is an All-Star caliber guy and by some definitions a “star,” but he’s not a top 10 player in the sport.

Despite that, he would be a great fit and someone the team needs.
