WOODBRIDGE – Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a single-vehicle crash Friday that left a passenger dead.

Police responded around 9:05 a.m. Friday to the area of ​​Route 9 and Green Street on a report of a crash where arriving officers found a 2017 Kia Sportage with front seat passenger Mario Ortiz Bonilla, 47, of North Plainfield , dead, according to Middlesex. County Prosecutor’s Office.
