New York tourist stabbed in posh area after 3 dead in random attack as prosecutor slams Trump

A 55-year-old tourist was attacked with a knife while walking on the sidewalk in an upscale district of New York City Wednesday, police said.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to Fox News Digital that the stabbing occurred in broad daylight at approximately 10:23 a.m. in an Upper West Side neighborhood.

the police said that the 55-year-old’s left ear and left cheek were cut during the apparently random attack. The victim was transported to a local hospital following the stabbing.

The suspect fled after the attack, authorities said. Surveillance footage, obtained by Fox News Digital, showed the suspect fleeing the scene. He was spotted with a knife.

The NYPD continues to investigate the incident.

The stabbing comes just two days after a knife-wielding man was charged with killing three people on Monday.

Police arrested Ramon Rivera, 51, a career criminal, earlier this week after allegedly being in a unprovoked stabbing over Manhattan.

Rivera, who is homeless, has eight prior arrests and was released from prison just weeks before the deadly knife attacks.

The Manhattan district attorney campaigned to indict Trump, saying in a 2021 interview that he personally planned to focus on the Trump case once he became prosecutor.

“This is obviously a case with consequences, one that deserves the attention of the prosecutor’s staff,” Bragg said at the time, according to CNN.

The stabbing also comes as Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old Marine veteran, is currently on trial and faces manslaughter charges for defending New Yorkers on an F train from uptown last year.

Penny is fighting manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges in the death of 30-year-old Jordan Neely, a homeless subway performer, for putting Neely in a fatal chokehold.
