The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has said apart from the three bodies found in the ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed in Port Harcourt on Thursday, no other bodies have been recovered.

DAILY POST recalls that about eight people died after a the helicopter fell into the waters off Port HarcourtRivers State earlier in the week.

Later, about three bodies were recovered from the spot.

Giving an update on Sunday, the NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, said in a statement that about five bodies were still missing.

He said intensified search and rescue operations are currently underway for the remaining bodies.

“Once again, our hearts and prayers go out to the family members of this unfortunate incident,” he added.
