KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Criminal Court has sentenced security personnel from the Ministry of Interior to 10 years in prison on charges of inciting his colleague to detonate an explosive belt at Camp Arifjan, manufacturing explosives and posting videos supporting ISIS. The court acquitted the second and third defendants in the case.

The prosecution accused the defendants of being affiliated with ISIS and conspiring to attack Camp Arifjan. One of the defendants, a security official from the Ministry of the Interior, was charged with trying to incite another security official to carry out the attack, pledging allegiance to ISIS, producing videos in support of the organization and encouraging others to join ISIS. The State Security Service arrested the defendants, but denied all charges during the trial.
