WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The last weekend of October brings seasonably cool conditions to North Central Wisconsin. Some clouds will move through the region on Saturday night, but it will remain dry. A fair amount of sun, breeze and a bit warmer on Sunday. Temperatures rise early in the work week as high pressure moves into eastern Wisconsin. Record highs could be challenged in some locations on Monday and Tuesday. The next weather factor is a cold front that should gradually slide through the region Wednesday into early Thursday. Halloween will be noticeably cooler, but shaping up to be dry for early evening trick-or-treating. Temperatures will moderate by early next weekend.

The next chance of wet weather is Wednesday. A first alert for the need for an umbrella Wednesday afternoon through night. Before the rain comes, it will still be fairly mild, with highs in the 60s to near 70s. Following the cold front, much cooler by Halloween. Outing with morning showers, then mostly cloudy. Windy, with highs in the mid 40s. The outlook for early Halloween trick-or-treating has temperatures in the low 40s, with clouds giving way to some light as the evening progresses. A good idea to have at least 2 layers to say warm along with your suit.
