Wadena women die in Cass County crash

The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed that a 31-year-old woman was killed Friday morning after being involved in a single-vehicle crash.

A crash report from the State Patrol states the crash happened on Highway 210 in Cass County just before 11 a.m.

There, a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo was exiting Scearcyville Road Southwest into the eastbound lane of the 210 Freeway.

In the westbound lane of the 210 Freeway, a 2024 Hyundai Elantra made contact with the Chevy, sending both vehicles into the southbound ditch of the 210 Freeway.

The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 56-year-old Motley woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

However, the Chevy’s sole occupant, 31-year-old Amber Marie Coultier, died from her injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash involved a driver who was not wearing a seat belt and said the Motley woman was wearing one at the time of the crash.
