PORTLAND Hours. (KPTV) – A 60-year-old Portland man was arrested Saturday in connection with multiple bank robberies in the Portland area, according to police.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, Lance G. Fluker is facing charges for at least four bank robberies in the past week while armed with a knife or machete.

On Friday, just after 5:30 p.m., police responded to a credit union on Northeast 15th Avenue after a report of a robbery in which the suspect was armed with a knife. The suspect has not been found.

A Northeast Portland woman woke up to a stranger hovering over her, and according to court documents, she’s not the first person this has happened to.

The next day, Saturday, shortly before 1 p.m., police responded to a report of a second robbery at the same credit union, during which the robber displayed a machete.

Officers searched the area.

Meanwhile, just after 1 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at another credit union on Southeast 10th Avenue. The suspect matched the description of the other two incidents.

After North and Central Precinct officers worked together to search for the suspect, they found and arrested a man matching the description at Southeast 39th Avenue and Southeast Belmont Street.

Once in custody, a police detective also determined that he was the same man who robbed a bank on North Williams Avenue on October 19th.

No one was injured in either robbery.

Fluker was arrested on a parole violation warrant in connection with first-degree robbery. Additional charges related to the bank robberies may come from the United States Attorney’s Office and the FBI.

Anyone with information about the robbery or Fluker is asked to contact Detective Brett Hawkinson at [email protected] or call the FBI at 503-224-4181.
