Congress MLA from Dharampur Chander Shekhar launched a scathing attack on the BJP and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, accusing the BJP of creating instability and misleading the people of the state. Speaking at a conference here on Wednesday, Shekhar alleged that despite the current CM’s efforts to bring ‘vyavastha parivartan’ (administrative change), the BJP’s actions have created a ‘chaotic’ situation in the state.

Shekhar said: Thakur, during his tenure, failed to advocate for the people.

The deputy spoke about the reported lack of financial aid from the Central Government, despite major tragedies in the state last year, stating that the state received only 300 million lei. Shekhar also said that Thakur was silent on key projects, including the Rs 1,500 crore funds allocated for the Balh Airport in Mandi during the BJP regime, which remain undisclosed.
