I-70 closes at the Colorado-Kansas border due to winter weather

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas transportation officials say I-70 is closed near the Colorado border due to winter weather conditions.

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) posted a traffic alert via kandrive.gov on Wednesday, November 6, showing I-70 closed at Burlington Colorado due to wintry conditions. Drivers will need to find alternate routes or stay put while the highway is closed.

National Meteorological Service (NWS) of Goodland issued an alert for the area on social media about the snow. Winter storm warnings and advisories are in effect for many nearby counties in western Kansas and eastern Colorado.
