Commanders vs Eagles betting odds, spread, over/under and prediction | NFL Week 11

For the second week in a row, the NFL brings us a blockbuster game on Thursday night when the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders meet at Lincoln Financial Field. Philly enters Week 11 atop the NFC North, but the Chiefs sit just a half-game behind them and can take control of the division with a road win.

Pair: Commanders vs. eagle

Washington is in the midst of one of the biggest seasons of change we’ve ever seen. The Commanders completely cleaned house after a 4-13 season last year. Dan Quinn was named head coach and Jayden Daniels was taken with the second pick in the NFL draft. Led by their rookie QB who is being mentioned in the MVP conversation, they won four of their first five and seven of their first nine games of the season. While the turnaround was impressive, they are still looking for a win against a team that considers themselves Super Bowl contenders. They beat the Bengals when Cincy was terrible. They beat the Cardinals before we knew the Cardinals were a decent team. The rest of their wins aren’t particularly stunning. In fact, the best performances of the season came in the last two losses. They hung with the Ravens in Baltimore and came up just short of beating the Steelers last week after Zach Ertz was stopped inches from getting a 4th down conversion that would have put Washington in position to wipe out a game-winning field goal against the team. Steelers.

The Eagles entered this season on the back of a historic collapse last season. They lost five of their last six to stumble into the playoffs and then got swept by Baker Mayfield and the Bucs in the first round of the playoffs. Changes needed to be made, so they brought in a new offensive and defensive coordinator. It hasn’t been the best start to the season, but once Hurts and the offense got healthy and Saquon Barkley got used to his new surroundings, the Eagles hit their stride. They’ve won five straight, including the sweep of the Dallas Cowboys. Hurts is playing like he did when he led the Eagles to the Super Bowl two years ago. He shreds teams through the air and on the ground, and Saquon Barkey has brought a balance to this offense that Hurts hasn’t had since coming to the City of Brotherly Love. And on the other side of the ball, Vic Fangio’s defense is shutting teams down. In their five-game winning streak, they’ve given up more than 20 points just once and are allowing just 13 points per game in that span.

These ancient and bitter rivals have been going at it since the 1930s, long before the NFL existed. Back then it was the Boston Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles. Obviously, things have changed, including the city and team mascot that now resides in the nation’s capital. In the series’ nearly 100-year history, the Chiefs hold an 89-84-5 edge over the Eagles. This has not been the case in recent years. Philly has won five of its last six games against the Commanders, including last year’s 38-31 victory in which Hurts hit four offensive threes on an injured knee. this would prove to be the beginning of the end for the Eagles.

Odds, Over/Under and Money Line

Primetime games are always tricky, especially when it’s a game between two division opponents. The Eagles enter Thursday night on a five-game winning streak and are a 3.5 point favorite against the skippers with the Over/Under set at 48.5.

  • Eagles vs Commanders spread: Philadelphia -3.5
  • Eagles vs Commanders over/under: 48.5 points
  • Eagles vs. Commanders money line: Washington +153, Philadelphia -184

foresight

I don’t know how the commanders are thinking coming into this game, but to me this looks like a make or break game for Washington. I don’t want to say that a 7-3 team’s season is on the line, but if they lose this game, which would be their second straight loss, things could start to get complicated for a team that hasn’t had to do with a team. many struggles to this point in the season. I think Washington goes into Philly and comes out of Thursday night with their first big win of the season.

The commanders win 24-14.
