DISCUSSION:

This past weekend’s rain was certainly much needed in Eastern Kentucky. Some places definitely got more than others. We ranged from 0.10″ in Warren County to 0.58″ in Menifee County.

We started your Monday off with mostly cloudy skies and then ended it with mostly sunny skies, which will lead to clear skies tonight.

YOUR FIRST ALERT: COLDER TEMPERATURES TUESDAY

We will remain sunny on Tuesday, but we will see a frontal push as we go through the day. This front will bring much cooler air with highs in the mid 50s.

This is the first part of a two-part cooldown. We’ll return to the mid to high 60s for Wednesday.

YOUR FIRST ALERT: OUR NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN

Rain chances will increase as we head into Wednesday night and throughout Thursday, clearing for Thursday night.

YOUR FIRST ALERT: ANOTHER COLD

We’ll see another cool period as we head into Thursday with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. We’ll stay in the upper 50s and 60s for Friday before warming up for the weekend, with highs in the mid-60s for Saturday and near 70 by Sunday.

Enjoy your evening!
