A Federal Emergency Management Agency supervisor who allegedly told employees not to help hurricane victims who had Trump signs outside their Florida homes has reportedly been fired.

FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell said the supervisor, named Marni Washington, was fired, conformable New York Post.

“I want to be clear to all of my employees and the American people, this type of behavior and action will not be tolerated at FEMA, and we will hold people accountable if they violate these standards of conduct,” she said, according to media reports.

Earlier this week, a FEMA whistleblower filed a complaint that an agency official in Florida told disaster responders to stop homes that had pro-Donald Trump signs after Hurricane Milton.

Employees were allegedly told in late October that they should skip the homes of Trump supporters when canvassing in Lake Placid, Florida. The guidance was allegedly communicated both verbally and in group chat messages, according to The Daily Wirealthough the messages have since been deleted.

At least 20 homes were ignored based on the guidelines and therefore were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance.
