Insta360 has released a limited edition BMW Motorrad-branded Insta360 X4 action camera.

The Insta360 X4 is waterproof, compact and can be mounted in a variety of places on the bike or rider. It comes with a removable lens protector and can be paired with Bluetooth-enabled devices and headphones. It has 8K 360° video capability and is equipped with a powerful 5nm AI chip that enables intelligent control systems, including voice and gesture commands.

Only 2,000 units of the BMW Motorrad-branded Insta360 X4 will be produced, and it includes rider-specific updates and features such as a dedicated Dashcam mode.

The BMW Motorrad Insta360 LE X4 Action Camera is priced at $519.99.

Inside the camera, you’ll see flashes of BMW Motorrad on the user interface, including a new BMW Motorrad stats overlay. When editing, apply the overlay to show your speed, direction and more on your footage. in 360°, creating engaging and informative videos that capture the thrill of every journey.

New Dashcam mode: Never miss a moment

Taking inspiration from traditional dash cams, a new dedicated Dashcam mode lands on the Insta360 X4. Unlike the current loop recording feature, which overwrites footage based on time, Dashcam mode works based on storage space.

This means that you can set aside a certain portion of the memory card (such as 5%, 10%, 20% or 30%) for Dashcam mode recordings only. It will continue to capture those crucial moments down the road, automatically overwriting the oldest files when space gets tight. Even with a smaller memory card, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your most recent recording it is always safe.
