An accidental leak shows Google’s latest Jarvis AI prototype and it can control your computer

Google’s latest AI prototype has found its way to the public, but it wasn’t on purpose.

A temporary leak showed many what Jarvis was capable of, including how it could outsmart the computer. Thanks to its arrival, albeit temporary, on the Chrome Web Store, we got an up-close-and-personal look at its capabilities.

As reported Recent informationit’s not your average AI assistant. Instead, it is the next best partner that scans the internet through web browsers and handles all the routine tasks. This can include buying food, booking flights or simply researching topics.

The latest AI can take over from the PC to complete tasks simply without any human intervention. It’s a prototype that appeared in the browser’s extension store, but it obviously wasn’t working at full capacity. Some who tried to access it, such as the reporter, spoke of no access being granted, thus stopping it from performing tasks.

Google rushed to remove Jarvis by mid-afternoon. This was just before the planned unveiling, which is scheduled by the Android manufacturer next month. It will also face competition from other industry rivals such as Anthropic’s Claude AI. However, the latter is known to perform only common routine tasks and nothing more through the web browser. This includes typing, button presses or simply cursor movements.
