Rafiqul Islam Madani, known as ‘Shishu Bokta’ was acquitted in four cases filed under the Digital Security Act in four separate police stations in Dhaka.

Judge Nur-e Alam of the Dhaka Cyber ​​​​Tribunal issued the order today (November 6), accepting a plea for the Islamic orator, prosecutor Rafiqul Islam said.

Earlier, Rafiqul’s lawyer, Shohel Md Fazle Rabbi, filed applications seeking his client’s release from the charges.

The court, after examining all the facts and documents, acquitted him of the charges in those four cases, said lawyer Fazle Rabbi.

On 8 April 2021, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rafiqul Islam from his house in Netrokona and filed a case under the Digital Security Act at the Gacha police station in Gazipur.

Subsequently, three more DSA cases were filed against him in three separate police stations.
