A 59-year-old Lathrop man died in a wreck Sunday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 59-year-old man from Lathrop, Missouri, died in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon in Clinton County, Missouri.

Missouri State Highway Patrol says around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the man was heading east on 240th Street southeast of Lathrop when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier.

The car left the roadway, hit a guardrail, overturned and hit a tree.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
