FIRST ALERT: WEEKEND VIEWING

Hurricane Rafael continues to move through the western Caribbean and is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the week as a hurricane.

Looking into the weekend, several models suggest rain from Rafael may move into the Mississippi and Tennessee valleys, potentially bringing significant rain to those areas.

If the moisture moves further east, we could see additional rain chances locally as well. Currently it looks like the heaviest rain will remain to our west and another batch will remain to our southeast.

Despite forecast rain, dry conditions over the past month should ease significant flooding concerns.
