Iran threatens to use more powerful warheads against Israel in next attack: report

Iranian officials have warned that they are planning the country’s next attack using warheads more powerful than any weapons previously used in attacks against Israel, despite US warnings against a counterattack on the country, according to reports.

Israel attacked Iran on October 26, targeting critical military infrastructure. The attack in Israel came in response to a wave of about 200 rockets fired from Iran into Israel on October 1.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel refrained from striking Iran’s oil and nuclear facilities, which are critical to its security. Israeli officials said the logic could change.

Iranian and Arab diplomats said its conventional military could be involved future attacks against Israel after losing four soldiers and a civilian in Israel’s latest attack. But using the conventional military does not necessarily mean deploying troops, but could instead mean that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which usually handles Israeli security measures, may not act alone.

Arab and Iranian officials have also said that Iran does not plan to limit its response to drones and missiles, as in previous attacks. Any missile used in the future, the officials added, would have more powerful warheads.

In the Oct. 1 attack, the WSJ reported, Iran said it primarily used four different types of medium-range ballistic missiles.

Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) senior fellow Behnam Ben Taleblu told Fox News Digital that the challenge of reporting an attack is that it must be mutually intelligible. He said any successful strike, such as Israel’s in October, which was designed to stop escalation, could be perceived by the Iranian regime as a reprieve that must be responded to.

“Assessments from Iranian outlets and officials have turned from trying to downplay the strike to using it to threaten retaliation,” Taleblu said. “Make no mistake, Tehran still has the ability to respond. The Islamic Republic can still fire considerably more projectiles and heavier warheads than were used in the first two direct attacks against Israel. laying down the pieces of the puzzle to justify a move toward the development of atomic weapons.”

On Saturday, Iran claimed it was capable of building a nuclear weapon as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed a “severe” response to Israel and the US’s actions on Saturday.

Kamal Kharrazi, a top adviser to Khamenei, issued a warning on Friday about Iran’s nuclear capability, saying the country may be prepared to change its policies on the use of nuclear weapons if the nation faces an existential threat.

“If there is an existential threat, Iran will change its nuclear doctrine, we have the capability to build weapons and we have no problem with that,” Kharrazi told Lebanese media.

The threat from Iran remains to be seen.

The WSJ also reported that the Iranian official said he did not want to influence the US election with the attack, adding that any response to Israel’s October 26 attack would come after Tuesday’s election day but before the winner of the presidential election is inaugurated on October 26 . January.
