Charlamagne tha God accuses CNN of helping ‘normalize Donald Trump’s fascism’

Charlamagne the God went on CNN and accused the network of helping to “normalize of Donald Trump fascism” on his radio show The breakfast club this week.

“I watched CNN yesterday and I won’t say the anchor’s name, but they were talking about the MAGA rally at Gardenand they were talking about it like it was normal,” Charlamagne said of his showTuesday. “You know, it’s a weird thing I do on these networks. I’m telling you, we’re almost 10 years into the Trump era and I still don’t know how to cover that demon, okay? Or the blatant white supremacy that comes from anyone associated with it.”

He continued:

It’s weird. So, in between talking about the MAGA rally like it was basically normal, the host still asked one of the experts on the panel if Vice President Kamala Harris should do Joe Rogan. It was very strange! But that’s what a lot of these cable news networks do, and I see it a lot more on CNN. They have a problem doing the main main thing. They always center the wrong conversation, and in doing so, have helped normalize Donald Trump’s fascism.

The radio host then referenced the incident that led to the Republican CNN guest Ryan Girdusky being banned from the network on Monday.

“The other thing that happens a lot on CNN is what happened last night,” he said. “They’ll have a conservative who’s not there to have a bona fide discussion, and whatever was discussed on the panel, the conservative will say something crazy and derail the whole conversation so that everyone forgets what they were discussing in the first place !”

Girdusky was kicked out of a CNN News Night panel and forbidden from the network after telling the fellow guest Mehdi Hasan“I hope your beeper doesn’t go off,” referring to the deadly bombs Israel detonated in Lebanon last month.
