A La Salle man was granted pretrial release Friday after prosecutors accused him of having unlawful sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

Richard N. Lombardi, 29, was charged La Salle County Circuit Court with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in prison.

Attorneys agreed to pretrial release conditions, including GPS monitoring with restrictions keeping him away from the victim’s residence.

La Salle police said in a news release that the investigation was launched Tuesday and Lombardi was picked up on a warrant. He will appear in court on December 6. Lombardi informed the court that he would seek private counsel.
