Puppy Paul Mescal’s interview is positively precious

Paul Mescal (sort of) got a break from his recent media blitz ahead of the release of his new movie ‘Gladiator II’ when he sat down with Buzzfeed Celeb for his ‘Puppy Interview’ series.

Mescal was all smiles like cute dogs – which are all up for adoption WagsAndWalks.org – rushed around him while answering a series of questions.

At one point in the interview Mescal, originally from Co Kildare, was asked which of his colleagues he would like to work with on another project and what genre that project would be.

Mescal replied: “I, Josh (O’Connor), Daisy (Edgar-Jones), Andrew (Scott).”

Mescal worked with O’Connor on “The History of Sound,” Edgar-Jones on the hit series “Normal People,” and Scott on “All of Us Strangers.”

He continued: “If we all got into an Irish comedy sitcom for something like that – we shot it for three months, we had a blast.”

Later in the Puppy interview, Mescal opened up about his fellow Irish actor Andrew Scott – the two have become great friends since starring in the critically acclaimed All of Us Strangers.

Mescal was asked if while filming “All of Us Strangers” — which features plenty of “emotional, intense” scenes — the two co-stars ever made each other laugh?

“Andrew is like the king of breaking people’s hearts,” said Mescal, a puppy on her lap.

“He does it so lightly. That movie wasn’t as heartbreaking to make on a daily basis as it probably is for the viewing public.”

When asked what book everyone should read at least once, Mescal admitted his answer was “too on-brand.”

“I distinctly remember reading ‘Normal People’ (by Irish author Sally Rooney) and it’s the kind of book that you haven’t read and you’re in your 20s and 30s, I think you’ll feel very seen. through everything.”
