Mirriam Allans said TUKO.co.ke that their journey was full of challenges and they were very thankful to God when her daughter finally graduated from school.

She explained that her first daughter, Arabella, joined Loreto Girls High School Kiambu when she was going through a tough time both emotionally and financially.

“My daughter enrolled in high school when I separated from the other parent. I had no money to admit her to Loreto Kiambu where she had got admission,” she said.

However, when TUKO.co.ke shared her story after going from a financially stable family to becoming a home help, a Good Samaritan contacted her and asked what she needed.

“Through TUKO.co.ke, a good Samaritan called me after reading my story and asked me what help I wanted. He is an old man, a stranger whom I have never met or seen. After a few months, I told her that I need KSh 150,000 in school fees from my child,” she recounted.

The stranger did not hesitate or doubt her, as he sent the entire amount without expecting anything in return.

According to Mirriam, the kind stranger was sent by God and she will always be grateful to him for using part of the money to admit Arabella to school and also set up his restaurant. business.

“He first sent me KSh 5,000 to confirm if his account can send money to Kenya, then he transferred the rest of the money just like that. So I sent my child to school and used some of the money to set up my business, Asili Kitchen,” she added.

Why mother and daughter cried at Loreto Kiambu Girls

The mother of three noted that seeing her daughter leave school without being sent home for homework even once was very emotional.

She shared that Arabella knew all the struggles she had gone through to pay her bills and take care of herself and her siblings.

“I cried that day with my daughter because she knew our story and how far we had come. I remembered when she had just joined Form One and how God had made it through a stranger and another close friend for us. It wasn’t easy. I told her that we will come back here after Form 4 passes to thank the same God and she told me that in university too, God will pass,” she said.

Mirriam encouraged other parents who feel things may not work out to keep their faith, saying that God will somehow provide for them.
